Stay healthy at work :)

.Wake up early and go for a jog before work. Don't bring an iPod along; instead, look around and admire the sunrise. Choose a different place to jog every day, like at the beach on Mondays, the park on Tuesdays, and so on. Take in the fresh air and use this time to clear your thoughts and relax before heading into the office.

.Enjoy a nutritious breakfast. Oatmeal, cereal, a slice of whole-wheat toast, fresh fruit, and yogurt are all healthy choices. Counteract your daily coffeehouse fix by drinking orange juice, skim milk, water, and/or plain brewed coffee.

.Avoid reaching for another cup of coffee while working. Water is a smart choice, as it removes toxins from your body without taking in any additional calories. Keeping yourself hydrated means keeping your brain hydrated as well, which results in clearer thinking and better problem solving abilities.

.Reach for a low-calorie snack if you feel hungry before lunch. Avoid that box of donuts at all costs; instead, bring a bag of pretzels, reduced-fat popcorn, or cut vegetables with low-fat dressing for dipping. These will keep you satiated without the guilt.

.If you feel that deadlines and targets are pressuring you and you need a smoke break, wash your face with cold water, stretch your body and take several deep breaths instead. The additional influx of oxygen to your body will help increase your focus and productivity at work.

.Lunchtime means brown rice (with carrots, cabbage, broccoli, green peas and flavored sauce) and grilled chicken cooked in a tasty and healthy manner. (Brown rice offers extra dietary fiber and chicken is lean meat with lots of protein. Vegetables along with this means absolute nutrition!

.Avoid high-calorie sodas and sugary juices at all times. Then what should I drink, you might ask? The answer is something that will increase your metabolism and also doesn't increase your calories, like green tea. The flavor is up to you! It can be mint, lemon, orange, cinnamon or anything you desire.

.Drink lots of water and stay away from smoking.

.Just 2 more hours to go home and you are hungry again? Have a handful of dates and an apple with a glass of warm water.

.Try having as much as of fruits and vegetables and water while at work and say a big no to the easily available junk food, fatty snacks, coffee, fizzy soda, etc.

.Take a walk when ever you get a break.

.If it's time to go home and you've followed these steps, consider Mission "Healthy day at Work" accomplished!
